"Our body and this complex world around us is meant to reveal and display the Self variously. Spiritual seeking lies in looking for That which animates the body. Turn the mind and intelligence inward to their very Source. Let the thoughts make you search for the thinking substance, the thinker.  Only then the mystery of the Self will be unveiled."

An illuminating exposition of the profound truths of Vedanta. The technique to perceive the Ultimate Reality presented with unique clarity and openness.

Description:

In this book, the author, Poojya Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha, presents the essence of Vedanta and Vedantic Saadhana for the contemporary world, clearly analysing the Ultimate reality of the world in a logical and lucid manner. For the serious and dedicated seekers, many subtleties of the technique of tracing and realizing the Ultimate Reality has been revealed through this book. Pointing out and cautioning against the widespread delusions and pitfalls, dispelling the various myths relating to meditational experiences, Swamiji through the chapters, virtually handholds the seeker to take him to the pinnacle of spiritual saadhana and fulfilment.

Extracts from the Book:

What is then our conclusion about the status of the world? There must be something Real beneath the seemingly unreal features of the world. In other words, the ‘unreal’ world exists around a real substratum. To put it in yet another manner, the so-called unreal world surely has a Reality content in it.

In sleep when the body is practically lying inert and inactive, as against its nature in the wakeful state, something in us keeps awake and knows about the sleep. That is why you are able to wake up with the knowledge “I was asleep. Hence I did not know anything at all.” The holder of this knowledge “I did not know anything”, is spoken of here as sunya-vetta (knower of the state of void). The knower of the state of void cannot be the body, for the body lies completely inactive. What else can it be then?
