Organized jointly by Narayanashrama Tapovanam and Hind Navotthana Pratishtan, 17th Annual Śreemad Bhāgavata Tattva Sameeksha Satram (SBTSS) will be held at Naimiśāraṇyam, Paralikad, Thrissur from Dec 21 to 30, 2018.
With 40 lectures on the essence (main tattva) of the Text, covering 5 lectures a day, including English talks (keeping in view the participants from other States and abroad), the Satram aims to instil universal harmony in the listeners. Besides talks, Śreemad Bhāgavata pārāyaṇam (daily recital) will be conducted.
As has been the unbroken practice since beginning, this year too the Viṣṇu-sahasra-nāma Sāmoohika Archanā will be performed on the final day of the Satram. In the year 2014, for the first time, a special Viṣṇu-sahasra-nāma Japa Utsava, a festivity of chanting, exclusively for students, was conducted in the Satram, in which 1500 or more students participated.
In the ensuing years, this japa-yajña witnessed the number of participants grow to over 5000, thus making it a mega-event, a mahā-yajña. This year the chanting by students will be on Dec 26, Wednesday.
To facilitate participation by many students in this mega-event, Ashram renunciates and disciples of Poojya Swamiji have been visiting the schools and Temple premises spreading out awareness to the public on the majesty and magnificence of the stotram. During these sessions they have been teaching the children and their parents the correct way of chanting the stotram. Around 30 visits have been made by them already, inspiring the children and parents alike about this holy, benign plan envisaged and guided by Poojya Swamiji.
It is a unique fortune and blessing for all in the society to take part in this auspicious Satram, which is aimed at imparting Nation’s culture and values to current as well as future generations.
